EHDD ARCHITECTURE PROMOTES REBECCA SHARKEY, AIA, TO ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
EHDD Architecture announces the promotion of Rebecca Sharkey, AIA, to Associate Principal. The announcement is made by Duncan Ballash, AIA, Principal and President of EHDD. "Rebecca has consistently demonstrated leadership in every aspect of her work at EHDD. Her ability to manage diverse teams though the design process and engage her clients is exemplary as evidenced in the feedback I receive," said Ballash.
Sharkey joined EHDD in 2006. She is an architect with more than 15 years of experience working on higher education, workplace and cultural facilities. "Rebecca has a deep, cross-institutional experience with great insight and perspective into the evolving nature of each of these types of facilities and workplaces," said Ballash. Through her interest in technology-integrated design and recent projects including the Active Learning Classroom at UC Santa Cruz, SFMOMA Expansion, and KQED, she is focused on creating spaces that are engaging, inspiring, and leading the way for both 21st century learning and working.
Sharkey received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in 1998. She is a Registered Architect and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). She is originally from Summit, NJ.
