Greta Jones, AIA joined EHDD in 1994 and has been the lead designer on many of the firm’s most prominent academic and public building projects including libraries, art and science centers and schools. Her design work blends the complimentary values of beauty, community and sustainability, and she is known for her ability to create places that are cherished by the groups they serve.
Greta is most proud of and concerned with finding the right and unique expression for each project. To that end, she has developed a capacity to listen well and has great respect for community process, believing that a broad spectrum of voices can be synthesized to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
Greta’s projects have received numerous accolades for their sustainable strategies and aesthetic elegance. Most recently her design work for the expansion of the Marin Country Day School received the 2011 Excellence in Design Honor Award from the AIA San Francisco Chapter, and is the first net zero energy classroom building in North America.
